‘Neev’ is now what we call our new home in Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad. Located in the basement of Sanitation Institute, next to Sabarmati Ashram, we couldn’t have hoped for a better place than this. A true karma bhumi, which has witnessed real life heroes dedicating their lives for service to others. Ishwar Kaka, also fondly known as toilet man (As he helped build more than 10 lakh toilets in rural india), told us on our first day at neev, “to blossom outside, first you have to go within. Strenthen your foundation with ‘Nishkam seva’ and you will never feel frustrated with outcome.”
Learning from Jayesh Bhai, we started seeing the beauty in small things and truly understood the guiding principles of Nipun from Charity focus, which we now are trying to abide. They are : 1. No fund raising : work with whatever you have. 2) Complete Volunteer Run: See the goodness in everyone. 3) Do small things with great love.
3 years ago, MAM had started as an experiment, and we are still learning while making an effort to find our personal truth through whatever we do, in our case it is media. Countless blessings, people, volunteers have helped it grow and gather valuable experience which enriched it’s journey. So now when MAM starts in Neev, on birth anniversary of Mahaveer Jayanti, we cannot help but feel blessed and in gratitude to all the selfless souls who crossed our paths and left a part of themselves in the making of MAM.
In the spirit of making this world more beautiful, one story at a time

Madhu,
Neev looks like a beautiful space where I’m sure many beautiful stories will be told. Really exciting to hear about your journey and MAM’s evolution — looking forward to staying tuned as the world becomes “more beautiful, one story at a time.”
Much love from London
