After successful completion of Genesis film project 2007 and I am the change film project 2008 we are coming back again with ‘I am the change film festival 2009.’ Each year, more than 300 filmmakers in India come together to make films on 101 social causes in just 101 hours. Their enthusiastic effort to make a difference through films inspired us to evolve and challenge ourselves in making this project better.
Believing everyone who participates is a winner and a changemaker we have decided to change the format little bit this year. Instead of awarding just few, we want to acknowledge everyone who participates. A three day festival featuring all the completed films will be held in Ahmedabad starting from October 2nd 2009. Festival will also invite participation of several independent media organizations which will enable good networking opportunities for the filmmakers.
This year’s theme is local invisible heroes who are making a huge difference through whatever they do. So 101 filmmaker teams from all over india will be invited to make films on 101 local heroes in 101 hours.
Competition will be held in first week of September. Forms and more information will be available on our website by July 15th.
