Sarvodaya in Stanford

In our recent visit to California, we had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people and among them were friends in Stanford. Taking out time from their Phd’s and rigorous class schedules, few students have formed an actively engaging group ‘Sarvodaya’.
Somik very beautifully describes it as “Sarvodaya 1.0 used to have regular meetings and talks, and was a little-bit leader-driven. Sarvodaya 2.0 (the current version) is upside-down of what you would expect in a regular org. The core is follower-driven, not leader-driven anymore. When someone in our community (for example, yourself), is inspired with an idea and needs help, that person becomes the leader and we will do our best to meet up and help you be successful with whatever you are trying to do. Our model is to help, and if we can’t help, then stay out of the way and not create hurdles.”
You can find more about them in their weekly blog.
We also had the opportunity to share some films of MAM Movies projects. Here’s the link to our visit in Stanford.
